Referring to hoarding structures in an ephemeral state of decay, documented in Taiwan and the Philippines in 2015, Clemens Hollerer started this ongoing series of works. Equal monochrome layering of paint with a consecutive process of deconstruction. The element of chance is extraordinary and foremost visible. The act of scraping and scratching happens in an intuitive action. The artist stands or sits on the back of the painting which is then dragged behind a car or he is essentially surfing the artwork down a steep hill. The works deal with time, memory, transition, decay and history.

These process-based paintings have been further refined through many experiments in recent years.

Selected works available.
