On June 23rd, 1985, the Boeing 747 Air india flight 182 crashed off the coast of Ireland as a result of a bomb blast. This, among other aviation accidents, led to Clemens Hollerer’s research into such disasters and were the origin of this new series of works. Simple, symbolic, alphanumeric codes are contrasted with tragic air disasters involving numerous fatalities and physical damage.
